EXCELLENT addition to my kitchen essentials. I really like that the colors completely harmonize with my Fiestaware, so I ordered these for my kids to use when we're all at the table for dinner. They blend in perfectly. All the adults in my house ended up using the large plates as well because their capacity is enough to work out for our meals, too. They're WONDERFULLY durable. I've had them since February, and it is now May. Drop one? It's fine! They do not break. The material is firm and can hold up without fail. They show no signs of wear, discoloration, or stains. We had several dishes with tomato sauce and turmeric, and none of the plates stained. Handwashing works out great, they don't have any issues with food sticking to them. I also toss them in the dishwasher and they come out looking good-as-new.
The only negative is that the plates aren't perfect. The large plates have a bit of warping, not really significant, and it doesn't impact their use at all, but the edges are not perfectly round. Still, for the price, I think these are a fantastic deal. They're durable, lightweight, can take on the job of the toughest plate, just... an all-around great set of dinnerware. The variety of colors makes for a cheerful table setting.
The utensils are great for kids; they're not quite as large as regular cutlery but work efficiently. The fork isn't super sharp, making it my preferred choice to give my 4-year-old daughter for her meals.
Overall - I am 100% happy to have given this set a try and will keep it for our everyday use.
The plates are really big. They are a dinner plate size (pictured). The bowls are nice and big too! Then the little tiny platters are good for little side snacks or fruit. I got these for the kids and they work really well. I like the feel of them and they hold up great in dishwasher.
The WHOLE family approves!
No soap scum left behind even with cheap soap!
I dont have a dishwasher so i cant comment on that.
As for the microwave they have survived that several times as we have leftovers a lot for lunch.
They seem to be very durable. I think we have been using them for 3 weeks now so we'll see. But I already want to toss all my other dishes.
They dont seem stain with spaghetti or sloppy joes even tho i left both of the sauces on there over night to test them out.
They are definitely kid friendly.
The colors are so nice each one of use now have our own set.
The sizes of everything is perfect except for the saucers they could be a bit bigger, they are big enough to fit a small cookie or the cup that comes in the set. Idk what else to use them for honestly. Other than that i absolutely love this set!
This set is exactly what I've been searching for! As someone trying to move away from plastic cups, plates, and bowls, this wheat straw fiber set is a fantastic alternative. I appreciate that it's made with organic wheat straw fiber and food-grade polypropylene (PP), ensuring it's 100% BPA-free and non-toxic. The fact that they're also microwave-safe is a huge plus for our busy family. I was also drawn to the lovely variety of colors included in the set; it makes mealtimes a bit more fun. And, of course, the price point is excellent, especially for the quality and quantity you receive. My daughter absolutely loves using them, which makes this purchase even better. I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a safe, eco-friendly, and affordable dinnerware option.
I was excited to see this set. The colors are great as we have 4 kids and they all claimed a color. We only use this set for dinner for them because the plates and bowls are bigger than the Ikea ones they have already. The dishes and cutlery are strong and will not break easily. I really liked that this was made from "wheat straw", but it a bit misleading. Even the manufacturers claim of being Eco friendly and Alternative to plastic is a bit misleading "....organic wheat straw fiber and food-grade PP, 100% BPA free, non-toxic and environmentally friendly" Because it is also made with PP (polypropylene), which by EPA standards are "safer", however I still wouldn't use this in the microwave. Keeping that in mind, I still like the set and would recommend. We did however switch out most of our dishes for glass, stainless steel and wood.
