Great pair of large bowls

These are great serving bowls but don't be surprised if someone thinks it is the perfect size for their meal. The bowls are attractive and very useful being microwave and dishwasher safe as well as unbreakable. I really like wheat straw dishware and these large bowls are a good addition.

Handy, lightweight and looks awesome!

We are always in need of larger bowls for all sorts of meals and prep. I’ve started collecting big ones here and there but man, even with just a few, the stack can become so heavy! And they take up a ton of space in the dishwasher. I am so happy to have found these wheat straw bowls - they are featherlight and the perfect size for so much! You could stack 20 of them and still lift them with one hand without issue. They are lower profile so they fit into slots in my dishwasher easily. And being made of wheatstraw, you can microwave them without worry of plastics leaching into your food.
Aside from their practical accolades, I love the vibrant raspberry color and the tactile 3D ridge design on the sides. Highly recommended!

perfect size for large salad or serving bowl

Always on the lookout for items that make RVing easier. These wheat straw bowls are lighter than ceramic or glass and they're unbreakable. More economical and "green" than disposables. They're big enough for large salads or for serving. The speckled finish doesn't show the scratches that will happen when using with metal utensils.

I am impressed!

I bought these for salads but to my surprise they are a lot bigger than I thought! Definitely big enough to used as a server. Dishwasher safe on top rack.

First time using wheat straw dishes, and I think I like them

Perfect size for a big salad. These are nice and lightweight. And they’re dishwasher friendly to boot. First time washing I placed them on the bottom rack (only area they’d fit), and didn’t notice any warping afterwards. I will note dimensions of these bowls are slightly off in the height - description states 2.95in tall but I measured 2.25 tall. Diameter was spot on however. My only complaint which knocked off a star (and is a personal thing) is these bowls make a harsh noise on the ears when scraping your utensils against it. First time using one of these bowls I found myself ever so gently sliding the last bits of food toward the edge of the bowl so I could just hold the bowl up to my mouth finish my food that way. I was not digging my fork into the bowl either. Perhaps it’s the slightly rough texture of the bowl that lends to the harsher scraping noise. Like I said, the noise bothered me but maybe it wont be a nuisance for others. Still like these bowls though. While these are made up of a blend of wheat fiber and plastic, I do think $17 is a bit high for 2 large bowls. I’d wait for them to go on sale.
